Environmental Scientist Justin Jacobson started with the Commercial Feed Regulatory Program (CFRP) in September as the new feed inspector for the San Joaquin Valley area. Jacobson is from Oakdale, CA, and grew up ranching and working on dairy farms. After graduating high school, Justin enlisted in the Marine Corps and has a degree in Animal Science from Fresno State.

2. What is your job title and what do you do?
I am an Environmental Scientist; I inspect commercial feed throughout the agricultural industry.
3. How do you work for the California food supply?
I inspect commercial feed at feed mills and dairies to enforce laws and regulations for feed and livestock drugs. This helps achieve a safe California food supply starting at the source: animal feed.
4. How would you describe our team?
Our team is hardworking, knowledgeable, supportive and self-starting.
5. What is your philosophy?
The good times never last but neither do the bad. Celebrate in the good times and suffer in the bad times but always remain thankful.
