Horidiplosis ficifolii: an Ornamental Fig Pest

Horidiplosis ficifolii, an ornamental fig pest, is
relatively new to science. This gall midge species
was described as late as in 2003 by Harris and de
Goffau based on insects reared from Ficus benjamina
L. originating from China.
