Every fall, the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Fertilizer Research and Education Program (FREP) and the Western Plant Health Association (WPHA) host a two-day nutrient management conference. The agenda focuses on the latest FREP-funded research results and practical applications of fertilizing materials for agricultural production in the state of California.
On October 23 and 24, 2018, the FREP/WPHA Conference will be held at the Embassy Suites in Seaside, California. More information about speakers, continuing education units, and registration will be available in the coming months on the blog and the FREP and WPHA websites.

Call for Posters
A poster session will be held on October 23, after the conference presentations. Posters must have scientific subjects relevant to the efficient use of fertilizing materials in California conditions, such as local climate, crops, and soils. Posters should describe projects that promote improved nutrient and irrigation management practices in agriculture. Anyone, whether funded by FREP or other entities, may submit an abstract.
If you would like to present a poster at the 2018 FREP/WPHA Conference, submit your abstract to FREP@cdfa.ca.gov by September 10, 2018. Submissions must include poster title, author names and affiliations, and a description of the project. One presenter per poster will receive free registration for the conference. Space is limited, and submissions will be selected based on relevance and quality of abstracts.
