Directors will talk about their programs, discussing past as well as current work, obstacles they have faced, and how they have overcome them. After completion of the training, participants will come away with concrete ideas of how to start or expand their farm to school efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is <strong>free<\/strong> and open to school nutrition program directors, managers, supervisors and operators. Qualifying continuing education topics for professional standards will be covered with the opportunity to earn up to 4 CEUs per event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshop Dates and Locations<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Central California Training<\/strong><br \/>\nFriday, February 3rd, 2017<br \/>\nScott Soiseth, Turlock USD<br \/>\nFocus: Marketing and techniques to support local purchasing<br \/>\n9:00am-2:00pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Northern California Training<\/strong><br \/>\nThursday, February 16th, 2017<br \/>\nPilar Gray, Fort Bragg USD<br \/>\nFocus: Food hubs, future purchasing, and integrating school gardens into food service<br \/>\n10:00am-3:00pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Southern California Training<\/strong><br \/>\nFriday, February 24th, 2017<br \/>\nLea Bonelli, Encinitas USD<br \/>\nFocus: \u00a0Integrating school gardens into food service, preparing unprocessed fruits and vegetables, and nutrition education to support farm to school efforts<br \/>\n9:00am-2:00pm<\/p>\n<p>Please <strong>RSVP<\/strong> to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/CDFA.MarketplaceInfo@cdfa.ca.gov\" target=\"_blank\">CDFA.MarketplaceInfo@cdfa.ca.gov<\/a><\/strong> with the training you are interested in attending.
