\"2017<\/a>Every fall, the California Department of Food and Agriculture\u2019s Fertilizer Research and Education Program<\/a> (FREP) and the Western Plant Health<\/a> Association<\/a> (WPHA) host a two-day nutrient management conference. The agenda focuses on the latest FREP-funded research results and practical applications of fertilizing materials for agricultural production in the state of California.<\/p>\n

On November 1-2, 2017, the FREP\/WPHA Conference will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Modesto, California. More information will be available soon on the\u00a0FREP<\/a> and WPHA websites, including presentations and speakers, registration, and continuing education units for California Crop Advisers, Pest Control Advisers, and growers.<\/p>\n

CALL FOR POSTERS<\/h2>\n

FREP and WPHA are seeking poster submissions for the conference.\u00a0Posters must have scientific subjects and research results relevant to the efficient use of fertilizing materials in California conditions, such as local climate, crops, and soils. Posters should describe projects that promote improved nutrient and irrigation management practices in agriculture. Anyone, whether funded by FREP or other entities, may submit an abstract.<\/p>\n

If you would like to present a poster at the 2017 FREP\/WPHA Conference, submit an abstract to FREP@cdfa.ca.gov<\/a>.\u00a0Submissions must include poster title, all author names and affiliations, and a description of the project. Space is limited to 15 posters, and submissions will be selected based on relevance and quality of abstracts.<\/p>\n
