The conference is organized by the California Chapter of the American Society of Agronomy (CA ASA). Registration is now open and early bird registration is available through January 10, 2025. The annual conference provides an opportunity for students, professionals, and other attendees to enhance their knowledge of current topics of agronomic importance in California. Many Certified Crop Advisers and Pest Control Advisers attend the conference to earn continuing education units that are important to their professional standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s conference will convene sessions covering the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The state of California agriculture in 2025 and beyond<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigating California\u2019s climate future <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IPM &amp; pollinators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nutrient management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soil health and disease suppressing soil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emerging voices panel &#8211; Behind-the-Science Look at Agronomy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrating water and nutrient management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using data on the farm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groundwater scarcity and water quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regenerative agriculture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evolution of pest management in California<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to presentations on these topics, there will be an award ceremony to honor individuals who served the profession through their careers, a student poster competition, non-competitive professional posters, a student mentoring breakfast, and the CA ASA business meeting. <a href=\"https:\/\/na.eventscloud.com\/website\/58588\/sponsors\">Sponsorship opportunities are available<\/a> to support student participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CA ASA organization was founded in April 1971 by a group of California agronomists who recognized the value in creating a forum to focus on California agriculture. It is planned and presented by a team of volunteer professional agronomists from research institutions, cooperative extension, public agencies, and private companies.
