The training will be capped at&nbsp;20&nbsp;participants.&nbsp;<em>Reservations can be made between May 7, 2024 and June 1, 2024<\/em>. Please&nbsp;email&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:safe@cdfa.ca.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">safe@cdfa.ca.gov<\/a><strong>&nbsp;to reserve a spot for the course.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COURSE DESCRIPTION&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-based Preventive Controls for Animal Food<\/em>&nbsp;regulation (referred to as&nbsp;<em>the Preventive Controls for Animal Food<\/em>&nbsp;regulation) is intended to ensure safe manufacturing\/processing, packing and holding of food products for animal consumption in the United States. The regulation requires that certain activities must be completed by a \u201cpreventive controls qualified individual\u201d who has \u201csuccessfully completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls or is otherwise qualified through job experience to develop and apply a food safety system.\u201d&nbsp;This course developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) is the \u201cstandardized curriculum\u201d recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA); successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a \u201cpreventive controls qualified individual.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These courses are taught by Lead Instructors trained by the FSPCA, who have been instructed in how to teach the FDA-recognized standardized curriculum.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Blended course consists of two parts.&nbsp;Part one is online, and Part two is an instructor-led, in-person training course.&nbsp;Both parts must be completed to obtain the certificate of training. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For more information or to reserve a spot for the training, please email&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:safe@cdfa.ca.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>safe@cdfa.ca.gov<\/strong><\/a><strong> between May 7 and June 1, 2024.&nbsp;Further details for course registration will be sent after you have reserved a spot. <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Safe Animal Feed Education Program will be hosting a Blended Preventive Control Qualified Individual Training July 17 &#8211; 18, 2024, in Modesto, California.&nbsp;Priority will be given to firms who currently do not have a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual.
