Pictures and statistics illustrate how programs fulfill the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdfa.ca.gov\/exec\/public_affairs\/pdf\/CDFA_StrategicPlan2019-22.pdf\">CDFA Strategic Plan<\/a> goals of: promoting and protecting agriculture, maximizing resources, providing engagement and education, remaining dedicated to customer service, and investing in employee development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdfa.ca.gov\/is\/i_&amp;_c\/cfm.html\">Direct Marketing Program <\/a>reported 2,427 Certified Producer Certificates were issued and there were more than 627 Certified Farmers&#8217; Markets operating in California.<\/li><li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdfa.ca.gov\/is\/cac\/\">Center for Analytical Chemistry<\/a> developed 13 new scientific methods while satisfying the regulatory and monitoring needs of 30 public agencies.<\/li><li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdfa.ca.gov\/is\/ffldrs\/frep\/CompetitiveGrantProgram.html\">Fertilizer Research and Education Program (FREP) Grant Program<\/a> awarded more than $2 million to universities and agricultural organizations for research, demonstration and education projects related to the environmentally safe and agronomically sound use and handling of fertilizing materials.<\/li><li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cafarmtofork.cdfa.ca.gov\/CaFarmtoSchoolProgram.htm\">Farm to School Incubator Grant Program<\/a> awarded $8.5 million to 60 farm to school projects in California to support local and regional farm to school projects that promote nutrition education, sustainable food production and procurement, and high-quality student engagement through experiential learning.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdfa.ca.gov\/is\/\">Inspection Services Division homepage<\/a> to learn more about its mission to provide professional services that support and contribute to a safe, abundant, quality food supply; environmentally sound agricultural practices; and an equitable marketplace for California agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/plantingseedsblog.cdfa.ca.gov\/wordpress\/?p=23789\">View this original post<\/a> on the CDFA Planting Seeds blog.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CDFA&#8217;s Inspection Services Division has released its Annual Report for 2021 (Fiscal year &#8217;20-&#8217;21).
