style=\"font-size:18px\">CDFA recognizes September as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/consumers\/food-safety-education-month\">National Food Safety Education Month<\/a>\u00a0with a continuing commitment to food safety education across California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">For example, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdfa.ca.gov\/producesafety\/\">CDFA Produce Safety Program\u2019s\u00a0<\/a>goals are to \u201ceducate before and while we regulate,\u201d and to support California produce farmers in understanding how to comply with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/food-safety-modernization-act-fsma\/fsma-final-rule-produce-safety\">Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Earlier this year, Produce Safety Program staff engaged with multiple partners, stakeholders and conferences across California to discuss food safety topics, including the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cdfa.ca.gov\/ProduceSafety\/index.php\/2025\/04\/23\/are-you-prepared-for-the-pre-harvest-agricultural-water-requirements\/\">Pre-Harvest Agricultural Water Final Rule<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Additional opportunities to engage with CDFA\u2019s Produce Safety Program include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">An\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cdfa.ca.gov\/ProduceSafety\/index.php\/2025\/07\/29\/ucanr-hosts-free-monthly-produce-safety-webinars\/\">October 21 produce safety webinar<\/a>\u00a0hosted by the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Free Produce Safety Alliance\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cdfa.ca.gov\/ProduceSafety\/index.php\/2025\/02\/03\/cdfa-produce-safety-program-offers-produce-safety-alliance-psa-grower-training-courses-at-no-cost-for-california-produce-growers-and-handlers\/\">Grower Training Courses<\/a>, including for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cdfa.ca.gov\/ProduceSafety\/index.php\/2025\/07\/01\/cdfa-offers-food-safety-training-for-farm-to-school-network-producers-and-handlers\/\">grantees of the CDFA California Farm to School Incubator Grant Program<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cdfa.ca.gov\/ProduceSafety\/index.php\/2024\/09\/26\/schedule-a-free-on-farm-readiness-review-today\/\">Free On-Farm Readiness Reviews<\/a>\u00a0to help producers comply with the FSMA Produce Safety Rule<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Training offered in multiple languages through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdfa.ca.gov\/is\/technicalassistance\/\">CDFA
