In recognition of National Farm to School Month\u2019s theme of \u201cRooted in Community: Growing Stronger, Together,\u201d <\/strong>CDFA celebrates the community of individuals across all sectors, generations and interests \u2013 farmers, parents, students, advocates, teachers, food service workers and lawmakers \u2013 who share a common vision of an abundant, nourishing and equitable food system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the California Farm to School Network, such important partners include (pictured, clockwise from top left) the San Luis Coastal Unified School District Food & Nutrition Services regularly celebrating nutritious school meal offerings on their\u00a0@slcusdfood<\/a>\u00a0Instagram page, the Spork Food Hub\u00a0@spork.food.hub<\/a>\u00a0celebrating Farm to School Month through their second annual Spork Squash Fest, the San Diego Unified School District Farm to School Program\u00a0@sdfarmtoschool<\/a>\u00a0inviting the community to join them in celebrating the farm to school movement, and the Capistrano Unified School District\u00a0@capofood<\/a>\u00a0taking part in the Community Alliance with Family Farmers\u2019 Farm to School Month celebration of the\u00a0California Crunch<\/a>, in which hundreds of school across California take one big, collective bite of locally-grown fruits and vegetables to celebrate local farms and healthy eating!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
